Functions & Powers of State Mission Authority

  • Suggest plan of Action for the proper implementation of the Mission for the Empowerment of Women in the State in consistent with rules and regulations and also in propriety with instructions, and guidelines of the Central Government and State Government issued from time to time.
  • To approve all action plans of the Mission and State plans for carrying out the objectives of the Mission.
  • To monitor and evaluate performance of various implementing units at all levels.
  • To ensure fund flows and to mobilize financial resources.
  • To ensure establishment of State resource Centre for Women (SRCW) in the state.
  • Establish State Resource Centre for Women to execute the objectives of the Mission.
  • Make rules, regulations and committees for conducting the affairs of the Mission and to amend vary or rescind them time to time, in consultation with the State Mission Authority.
  • Accept grant of money, securities and property of any kind and to undertake and accept any endowment, trust, fund or donation not inconsistent with the objectives of the Mission.
  • Purchase, hire, take on lease, exchange or otherwise acquire properties, moveable or immovable and to construct, alter and maintain any buildings as may be necessary for carrying out the objectives of the Mission.
  • Enter into all such negotiations and contracts (national or bilateral) and rescind and vary all such contracts and execute, and do all such acts and deeds as it may consider expedient in relation to matters pertaining to the growth and development of the Mission.
  • Institute, conduct, defend, compound, compromise or abandon any legal proceedings by or against the Mission or otherwise relating to the affairs of the Mission Society.
  • Delegate the Executive committee or to any officers and authorities of the Mission, such powers and impose such duties as deems proper.
  • Appoint standing committees/ ad-hoc committees for carrying out the objectives of the Mission as deems fit.
  • Evaluate, review and consider the Annual Report prepared by the Executive Committee.
  • Undertake all such activities and to take all such actions as may appear necessary or incidental for achievement of the objectives of the Mission.
